1. To improve the academic achievement of each student.
2. To foster in students a sense of school pride and social responsibility within the school and the wider community.
On Thursday, October 25th Barriere Secondary is hosting our first session of Parent-Teacher Interviews at the school. At BSS we encourage parents to meet with teachers on this day to have important conversations about progress so far this term, and to discuss strategies you can use at home to help students be as successful as possible in each of their classes.
Students will be dismissed early on this day, shortly after 12:00pm, so that interviews can run from 1:00 - 4:00pm and from 5:00 to 7:00pm. Please call the school office to book appointments with your student's teachers. Buses will run early on this day for Secondary students only, a second run being done for Elementary students at the regular time from the elementary school.
Please be advised that there is no school for students this Friday, October 19 as it is a professional development day for staff.
